I am back from my jury duty and feeling so civic-duty full of myself. We went, saw, made a decision and I’m done for a year!
But I realize this beautiful spring morning I am guilty on all counts.
1. Guilty of purchasing yarn I have no project for,
2. Guilty of thinking about knitting while sitting in a coffee shop with my DH. We went 15 minutes without talking….If this is a sample of what retirement will be like….I’ll be knitting alot.
3. Guilty of having 5+ projects in the works, 3 of which I really don’t want to complete. I probably could take them down to Perfect Yarn and they might knit on them..Hmmmm.
4. Guilty of feeling very good about the fact I can knit a pair of socks on my sock machine in 37 minutes. It takes almost as much time to close the toe as it does to knit the sock.
Finally I am guilty of stealing my kids easter egg dying kits to dye this roving. I can hardly wait to see how it spins up.

My word I think I’ve found someone that knits more than me!
That’s a lot of socks you’ve got going!!! All the other stuff is beautiful too! I couldn’t EE dye anything this year. I have a rule that if what I dyed the year before isn’t spun up, I can’t dye any new stuff. But what you’ve done has inspired me to fix up my wheel and get spinning. I still have two boxes of dye waiting to be used. I never said I wouldn’t buy extra dyes!

Thanks for commenting on my blog. If you hadn’t, I might not have found your blog, and it looks interesting.
I have to go to work, and I’m in kind of a hurry, so I’ll read more of your blog later.
I sell knitting patterns and finished goods. So far, I only have 3 patterns out, triangular shawls, wimples/hoods, and, my newest pattern, mitts. It’s a very new business.
The thing that’s different about them is that they’re written to be knit in any weight yarn. Perfect for spinners!
If you go back a couple of posts, there are photos of a hood I was commissioned to make for a friend, and if you go to dweezy’s blog and look around at the end of January, you can see a shawl he made from my pattern.
Or you can click on the my website link on my blog or go to http://www.lostarts.biz or see my ad on page 113 of the Spring issue of Spin-Off.
How did you manage to find a sock knitter? Those are pretty rare, aren’t they?
Have you thought about making mitts? I can go into a store and buy socks, but not mitts. And you wouldn’t have to weave the toe.

Sock machine! Hey that’s cheating! Just kidding…didn’t know those even existed. I can’t “continental.” when I first taught myself to knit in January I tried that way first because it made more sense but my left hand wouldn’t cooperate so I plod along the other way. Lots of pretty socks on your page here.

I’ve tried the mitts on the machine and I just didn’t like how the thumb came out. I love to knit mitts out of brown sheep and felt them. That is this year’s Christmas gifts to everyone I know; or maybe felted slippers…haven’t decided yet.

Okay, so I see you are knitting socks on the knitting machine. That looks like fun. But is it 26 you said you have to make? That’s a lot of socks. Some how I think that the yarn you bought will be destined for a project very soon. You have me in suspence about meeting your deadline for the socks. Good Luck!
