Dye It - Class 2
|
The last day of classes at Shaniko were a HUGE success. I came away knowing the students grasped the process and would be successful using their wraping boards. So here you go….the last day of classes. Working on their wraping boards learning how to unwrap a skein after dying. Finished dyed skeins….beautiful! Can you go into more details about the dyeing? I’ve done a bit, but I like seeing how others do it too. I have always wanted to machine knit a blank (like http://www.machineknittingtodyefor.com) and knit something ‘fake’ fair isle, and I’m really intrigued by your technique of painting a picture on the blank instead. Do you have a prefered dye? Is there anyway to make dyes thicker? So many questions and ideas and so little time!!
