Eye Candy Friday
The mystery squash. It is a volunteer, came up by itself in August. Is growing like gangbusters but I have no idea what it is. It is currently about 16 inches long….could it be a loufa or is it a spaghetti squash? I’ve not grown either but you never know. I did toss a lot of old seeds last year. It has grown out of the mulch bin. Who knows….do you?

I came across your picture while researching my own mystery squash. Like yours, mine was a volunteer and, like you, I tilled compost into my garden from my composter. My appeared in May and has grown like crazy. The squash are about 15 inches long now and are shaped like watermelons or green spaghetti squash.
Did you ever find out what kind they are? I’m dying to know.
