Too much to do
After the flurry of activity this past weekend with apple pies and smoking salmon I have to confess I’ve neglected the blog o sphere. In defense of myself, I’ve been very busy gearing up for the Holiday rush and vending opportunities. I set a goal for myself to knit 5 pair of socks per day. In addition I’ve seen shipping out loads of Soak Wash and receiving orders for customers to knit socks from their yarn. Plus I’m trying to get organized to become more efficient in the business and I’ve employed a part time employee to help with the yarn winding. But this morning was spent at DJ’s Jr. High School to help with the Medieval Fair. I helped two girls, one with weaving on the Ashford Knitter’s Loom
and another using Hand Carders from Ashford. In addition I took my drop spindles and the Ashford Traveler wheel along to help demo. It went well, and I had loads of fun but small events like this take away hours from my production schedule. As of today I’m 7 pairs of socks behind. Let’s not even talk about the fact I want to dye 4 new dye lots to offer for sale in my ETSY and Internet Store.
I’m a busy gal but here you go. Some images from this morning’s Medieval Fair.
