Yesterday we drove down to see the youngest member of the Mc./V. family. The younger kids got to see their new neice and the DH got sufficient bonding time with Sydney.
Angela is going great. For only 4 days post delivery she is walking (upright I might add!). And the proud Daddy is just that, proud.
Here you go, the latest (and first of many) pictures of the new addition.

Nope, no baby yet. Actually, her due date is tomorrow so we are fine.
“Dye-It Socks” classes are set and scheduled for the Shaniko Wool Gathering. While the Shaniko web page is being updated you can go here to get the information. Just email me if you need more info or want to sign up for the class.
I will also be offering these same two sock dying classes locally, in Brookings at Riyescott Lodge. The classes will be offered October 4- 5. It will be a weekend event where you come on Friday evening for a pot luck, Saturday will be Dye-It Socks Class 1 and Sunday morning will be Dye-It Socks class 2.
There is lodging available at Riyescott Lodge with overflow at Whaleshead Resort one mile down the road. More information to follow but email me here if you are interested and want to be put on the list.
Cost for weekend will be $190.00 (Riyescott Lodging). This includes both classes, 2 nights at Riyescott Lodge, farm breakfast of fresh muffins and ranch eggs both Saturday and Sunday and Lunch on Saturday. Dinner Saturday is on you.
If you are a local student or will be staying elsewhere cost of the classes is $95. If you want to include your breakfasts and lunch, add $10.
You will have free time on Saturday afternoon to visit the beach, sit and spin or knit or share in the ranch chores and become a farm girl for the afternoon.
Sounds great to me!

For those of you who are participating in the Baby Pool for my new Grandbaby….we are still waiting. She is ‘progressing’ according to her Dr and is 80% there. I know as a past pregnant Mom 4X’s over the statement that you are 80% there is not what you want to here. But, keeping things in perspective, her actual due dates are the 17th – 20th. My opinion is she is not uncomfortable enough yet. This is how I’ve guaged moms to be in the past. When you get to the point where you are so uncomfortable that sleep doesn’t even lesson your discomfort, you are ready. My best guess? Next Sunday the 18th.

The foundation was laid yesterday. It was a beautiful sunny day and everything went well. We’re just waiting on the home which is scheduled to make the long haul on Tuesday, June 3rd.

The Lupines are blooming. This is one of nature’s amazing shows that happens in the spring on the Northwest
coast. Everywhere you drive, every turn you take you see these beautiful blooms. Between the elk and lupines, every turn is a surprise.

Sock update. I have about 80 more pair to knit up until I take my month off for moving and the baby. I sure hope I can get through these before June 1st. I’ve given up on thinking I’d be able to knit them before the baby.
Sock orders are still being taken but they will not be knit until after June 15th. Go HERE to print the form and save your spot today!

What would be better than spending the weekend at our new property and getting to see a new baby llama. Linda at Riyescott Ranch told me she thought she had pregnant Llamas but after 9 months who can remember who may be pregnant.
KT got to hold her first baby – only 2 hours old. His mama the Llama was not too sure about KT though.

One thing about baby Llamas I didn’t know is they have a natural smile.

Here is Mama Llama and baby Brad, named after the DH because he was the first one to see and find him. I”m sure Linda will change the name because Brad the Llama does not have that ring you expect from a name.
