Settling in
We’re settling in here and still unpacking. I’ve decided to unpack only what I need now and save the rest for the rainy days that will be comming this winter. We have to unload the storage space before the end of the month though so all that room I’ve made in the garage will again be taken up with boxes.
The dog has adjusted to sleeping in the garage. Actually, we don’t think she sleeps at night because here is what she does first thing in the morning when I let her out.
The kids are getting used to being outside more. The love to go to the neighbor’s house in the evening when we do a bit of garden chores and watch the sunset. It has become kind of a nightly ritual to drive the quads over, spend about an hour ‘helping’ and get back after the sun sets.
The Dh is building s teps for the house today. He is doing a good job and hopefully this project will give him the confidence working with wood to help me build the official chicken coupe’. You can go here to see what it will look like when I’m done.
Chocolate Cake for Breakfast? Yup, today is a coughing day. (I have a lung disease that requires me to cough about twice a week to clear everything out.) On these days I find my energy is drained and I sleep alot. So I’m starting the day off with a piece of Chocolate Bundt Cake and a glass of milk. Might as well get some ‘energy’ as I prepare do do battle with my body.
