Snow, on the Beach?
Snow? At the Ocean?
Yup, it snowed yesterday here on the Pacific Coast. In fact we got about 2 inches until it started to melt. Nowall the roads are a frozen sheet of ice. School is delayed for 2 hours and the kids are sleeping snug in their beds.
I’ve been so busy with socks I didn’t realize I hadn’t posted since November 25th. I’m in the final blitz/push for Christmas socks and have only 24 pair to make by Thursday. This is very do-able as long as I don’t get distracted by….snow?
My head update. Not that you really care about my ‘physical’ being but if you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while you will see a trend toward sinus infections. I visited a new Ear Nose Throat Dr. last Thursday and the verdict is….I FAILED MANAGED CARE. I asked him if this was something I did. He said no, you need surgery. So yesterday I braved the snow and ice and drove up to Gold Beach for a CT scan. It was very revealing. The good news is I don’t have anything growing in my head (read cancer), there is not a bean stuck up there or a hot wheels tire, or a piece of masking tape (yes I have personal experience with either family members or friends with the above!). The bad news is where there should be black open air spaces I have fluid and scar tissue. Well duh, I’ve have so many sinus infections in the past 3 years my body has no germs at all from all the meds.. So surgery it is. Hoping to schedule the beginning February so I can get the kids through the next play.
Play update: KT my drama/diva has landed a plumb part in the next Harbor Performing Arts Center play. Practices start tonight as long as I can get out of the driveway that is!
So if you live anywhere East of here (read Pam and Mike) be ready for a blast from the west. Cold and frigid weather.

We better lay in some vittles then. Between the storm you are sending us, and the snow in the Mojave that Jennifer found we will be hard pressed to avoid some wild weather. As if the recent sub-zero temps weren’t enough to remind us we’re not in Alabama anymore.

Vittles and Water. Tomorrow will be more snow and freezing weather. I think we need to buy a plow for the Quad. Or that is Brad’s opinion!
